Using Nuclear Magnetic Resonance

Quantum dense coding has been demonstrated experimentally in terms of quantum logic gates and circuits in quantum computation and NMR technique. Two bits of information has been transmitted through manipulating one of the maximally entangled two-state quantum pair, which is completely consistent with the original ideal of Bennett-Wiesner proposal. Although information transmission happens betwe...

NUCLEAR MAGNETIC RESONANCE STUDY OF THE STRUCTURE OF GLYOXALDIHYDRAZONE

Study of the nuclear magnetic resonance spectra of glyoxaldihydrazone in dimethylsulfoxide and deuterochlorofonn leads to the conclusion that this compound exists predominantly in non-chelate structure

Integrating Nuclear Resonance Fluorescence Safeguards into Nuclear Energy Systems using Non-proliferation Assessment Methods

A new detection technique, originally thought for the detection of explosives in cargo containers, is presented in this paper for the particular application of isotopic detection of nuclear materials in a Nuclear Energy System (NES). This technique is called Nuclear Resonance Fluorescence (NRF) and the reference fuel scheme to which it is applied is the Sodium Fast Reactor (SFR). The objective ...

Fluid Characterization using Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Logging

This paper presents a variety of field applications that illustrate recent advances in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) logging fluid characterization methods. The main concepts of NMR logging and the principles underlying NMR diffusion measurements, which form the basis for all standalone NMR fluid characterization methods, are briefly reviewed. Field examples of the MRF Magnetic Resonance Flu...

Numerical approach to statistical properties of resonance fluorescence.

We formulate a numerical scheme to investigate the correlation of photons scattered by a two-level atom coupled to a waveguide, and compute the second-order correlation function. We also show that a three-dimensional resonance fluorescence experiment can be mapped into the one-dimensional situation studied here. The correlation functions for both cases show excellent agreement.
